The Rotalux softboxes are made for professional use, are super fast to set up, make the light perfect and are compatible with all Elinchrom lamps.

An Octa 175 softbox is widely used as main light in model photography. Thanks to the round shape of the softbox, the light is spread evenly over the subject / model to be highlighted, and in combination with the deflectors and diffusers the softest light can be achieved. Because the soft box is round, it is also right to use a model; the reflection in the eyes is not unnatural thanks to this form!

This Rotalux 175 has a diameter of no less than 175 cm, which enables it to create a very even and soft light. As a rule, the softbox is most commonly used in combination with a high-power flash, so that the size of the softbox comes into its own best. We recommend using a sturdy tripod, such as a tree stand or sliding arm stand!

To reduce the outgoing light or reduce any fan out of the light, the softbox can be expanded with a hooded diffuser. Grids are available for even more light control, so that the light is even more focused across the entire surface. For example, there are grids of Lighttools for this softbox in the 30°, 40° and 50° angle angles. The softbox is compatible with multiple lamp brands, so you must order this separately. If you use Elinchrom lamps, you have, in addition to the options mentioned, an extra possibility to form the light. This way you can use deflectors thanks to the central tube holder, so you can transform the softbox into a beautydish.
