The Calibrite ColorChecker card is an excellent tool for calibrating your peripherals.

In combination with a color management software package, the color chart can be used to create accurate profiles of your digital or analog camera.

The ColorChecker consists of 24 scientifically determined color areas that reflect light in the same way in all parts of the visual spectrum.

By photographing the ColorChecker card, with known color values, you have obtained an accurate and absolute reference, as it were. With this you have established the relationship between your images and the way the images are processed with your camera in terms of color.
