The Rode NT2000 Studio Condenser Microphone has 3 different characteristics that the user can select, being cardioid, omni and figure 8. Beside these characteristics, users can also set the filter and PAD settings of the microphone for even more personal control. This makes the microphone ideal for vocal and accoustic instrument recordings.
The ultro low singal to noise ratio of only 7dB and the maximum SPL of 147dB are combined with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz
