The Røde SmartLav + Lavalier microphone is a high quality but highly portable microphone that you can place discretly, you can connect it to your smartphone or tablet.

The microphone works effortlessly with all kinds of audio recording apps but is truly optimized for the Rec iOS app of Røde, which lets you convert your Apple smartphone or tablet into a smart audio recorder. Confirm the microphone, connect it to the device, start the app and start recording!

Using a professional omni-directional capacitor capsule, the sound around the microphone is particularly well-picked up. A folding hood is included that minimizes wind noise and also compensates for the effect of certain sounds such as a too pronounced 't' or 'd'. The durable mounting clip ensures you can securely hold the microphone without the cable in the way. The cable is reinforced with kevlar so it is not damaged quickly.
